Plein Air

This is a collection of all the plein air paintings that I have done, in chronological order! My inspiration to begin plein air painting was the artist James Gurney, who is proficient in this practice. Plein air is the French term which means "painting from life" and I first became interested in this form of sketching in summer 2018. Since then I have done numerous plein air works, including the summer I spent at Pierce Cedar Creek Institute, when I completed 33 paintings in 60 days. I continue to take my plein air sketchbook with me wherever I travel, local, national, or international!
